Football fans in San Antonio will be able to buy Kirk Herbstreit’s new sausage brand at their local HEB grocery stores.
The ESPN analyst and color commentator announced that his “Tailgate Favorites” will hit shelves Tuesday in the Alamo.

Eckrich, a part of the John Morrell Food Group, a division of Smithfield Foods, announced its new line of smoked sausages bearing Herbstreit’s name and likeness earlier this month. The former Ohio State quarterback has been a spokesperson for Eckrich since 2008.
“I’m excited about the new Eckrich ‘Ultimate Tailgate’ products,” said Herbstreit in a press release obtained by PR Newswire. “I’ve partnered with Eckrich for a long time now and they continue to align with values I believe in, including families and enriching the lives of others.”
