Here’s what college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit had to say about the SEC during Saturday’s College GameDay telecast live from Tuscaloosa:
On South Carolina-Georgia:
“They’re going to come in a play inspired. I think Georgia will win, but it’s going to come down to the end of the fourth quarter. It’s going to come down to the last possession. (South Carolina) is going to scrap and play hard today.”
On Florida-Kentucky:
“Jim McElwain’s patience will be tested again today. I think (quarterback) Patrick Towles throwing the football against a very talented secondary, but the balance. I think at home, Kentucky finds a way.”
On Auburn-LSU:
“Jeremy Johnson, tremendous skill, but what’s happening these first couple weeks is that he’s pre-determining his throws. He’s got five interceptions and honestly, he could have 9 or 10 because of his decisions.”
“I think No. 7 (Leonard Fournette) gets it done.”
Herbstreit’s Week 3 SEC picks
- Georgia over South Carolina
- Kentucky over Florida
- LSU over Auburn
