Former Georgia All-American running back Knowshon Moreno has seen his fair share of Alabama-Georgia classics in his time, and he was a guest Saturday on SEC Nation to re-live the 2007 classic in Tuscaloosa.

“Oh my goodness. We just erupted. It was a big dog pile in the end zone,” said Moreno of the Bulldogs’ 26-23 overtime victory over the Tide. “I was a redshirt freshman at the time, so I was just trying to get out there and do what I can, make a play for the team. We went into overtime, and (Bulldogs quarterback Matthew) Stafford threw that dime.”

The dime Moreno was referring to while visiting with Marty Smith and Ryan McGee on set in Athens, Ga., was Stafford’s overtime dart to Mikey Henderson to stun the Tide.

“That wasn’t surprising,” said Moreno, who has 17 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown in the 2007 victory. “Stafford always was able to make those kind of throws. It was exciting, and was one those SEC games, SEC battles just like we will have today.”

The latest round of Alabama vs. Georgia is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, airing on ABC.
