Kobe Black is a 5-star cornerback and one of the best overall players in the country for the class of 2024. Now, he has landed on his final 5 list of programs still in the mix.
Black generated over 2 dozen Power 5 offers throughout the recruitment process before cutting down his list. On Wednesday, he announced a final group that consists of LSU and Texas A&M out of the SEC, along with the SEC-bound Texas Longhorns. Oregon — on the move to the Big Ten in 2024 — and Ohio State rounded out the list.

Black is listed at 6-feet and 190 pounds out of Connally High School in Waco, Texas. The 247 Sports Composite rates Black as a 5-star recruit, the No. 3 CB in the country and the 24th overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
Of the programs on Black’s list, Ohio State already holds commitments from 3 of the nation’s top 25 players. Texas A&M has one such commitment as things currently stand while LSU, Oregon and Texas are looking for their first commitment from a top-25 prospect.
We’ll see where Black winds up, but he looks like a future game-changer at the next level. Here’s a glimpse at what he brings to the table via his Hudl highlights:
