Kobe Brown is unable to go for one of Mizzou’s biggest games of the season.

Ahead of tipoff (6 p.m. ET, SEC Network), Mizzou announced that Brown would miss Saturday’s game against No. 4 Alabama due to an ankle injury. Tigers coach Dennis Gates said he elected to sit Brown to avoid any further injury to his ankle, citing long-term concerns.

Brown is averaging 15.7 points (56.0% field goal shooting) and 5.6 rebounds per game. His numbers are even better at home: 17.2 points (59.4% field goal shooting) and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Kaleb Brown is also out Saturday due to a non-COVID illness, MU announced.

The Tigers are 14-4 on the year. Alabama enters with a 16-2 record. The game is airing on the SEC Network.
