Kris Abrams-Draine, one of the top defensive backs in the SEC, announced Wednesday that he will be staying in Columbia, Missouri for next season. Abrams-Braine will be a strong NFL Draft pick one day, but that will have to wait at least another year.
It’s hard to overstate just how massive this is for the Tigers. Abrams-Draine led the conference in pass breakups with 13, totaling 40 tackles and 1 fumble recovery along the way. He was a projected 3-5 round draft pick this season, but can definitely raise that stock with another year in the SEC.

Abrams-Draine has already played 3 seasons in Columbia, totaling 77 tackles, 3 interceptions and 20 pass deflections in that time. He started as a wide receiver, moving to defensive back after his freshman year with the Tigers.
