Apparently, the NFL frowns upon players threatening GMs on live television.

Landon Collins may have been joking when he recently said he would “run-over” Giants GM Dave Gettleman if given the opportunity during pregame but that didn’t stop the NFL from frowning upon those recent comments from the Washington defensive back.

If you don’t know the backstory, the Giants released Collins this offseason despite his strong play on the field. The move was a shocker in many NFL circles but Collins quickly landed on his feet in Washington — which just so happens to be a division rival of the Giants.

According to Bob Glauber of Newsday, the NFL plans to reach out to Collins following his recent exchange on NFL Network.

“I would try to tell one of my defensive back coaches to throw the ball in that direction and give a nice little thud, a nice little run-over, a quick little ‘Uhh,’ something like that,” Collins told NFL Network in the clip below. “Give a nice little thud, a little run-over … Make it a little subtle.”

Collins quickly clarified his statements with the following tweet:

“Regardless how I feel about the man..I wouldn’t try to hurt the man . . . learn a joke from the real thing.”

It’s true what they say, the NFL stands for the No Fun League.
