Lane Kiffin cut some time out of his busy schedule to speak with the guys at College GameDay in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Saturday. Kiffin’s Rebels face off against the Kentucky Wildcats at Noon in their first SEC matchup of the season.

But before the Rebels kick off their SEC schedule, Gameday asked Kiffin who he thinks will win tonight’s heavyweight battle between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama.

The former Tide offensive coordinator is going with the home team:

This is going to be quite the battle tonight. Both teams are fresh off a bye week and scored Week 3 wins against Power 4 opponents. But not all wins are created equal. Alabama walked into a raucous Camp Randall stadium and dispatched Wisconsin while Georgia was very nearly upset by Kentucky in Lexington.

I’ll leave it to you to put however much weight you want towards the last point. Georgia struggles against a team they shouldn’t struggle against seemingly every year. They almost fell to Mizzou in 2022, Auburn danced with them for 4 quarters last season. Kentucky, despite not having a semblance of an offense, very nearly got it done in Week 3.

But as Miami learned last night, a win is a win is a win. Georgia is still the team that mauled Clemson in Week 1 – expect that Bulldogs squad to be the one that shows tonight.

Alabama vs. Georgia kicks off from Bryant-Denny Stadium at 7:30 p.m. The game will be aired on ABC.
