Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels got a monster win on Saturday, as they went to Norman and got a 34-26 victory against the Oklahoma Sooners. Emotions were high for this game, as many pundits across college football said this could be a College Football Playoff eliminator.

After the game, Kiffin was doing his postgame interview with ESPN sideline reporter Molly McGrath, when he and Sooners defensive tackle David Stone had an exchange with each other. While talking to reporters after that, he explained the situation.

“That’s just me,” Lane Kiffin told reporters after the game. “I mean, he was talking the whole game to me and I did a good job of not talking back. He just kept telling me we weren’t going to score. and all this. I didn’t try to go find him after the game, he was just right there. Guy is a great player, but that is just me.”

Both teams knew they needed this game, and it had a little bit of everything. There were big plays on both sides, but the Rebels were able to make just enough to get the win.

The win puts the Rebels at 7-1, and they are in great shape to make a run at making their first CFP. There are no ranked teams currently remaining on their schedule, and they will be in action next week against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
