If it’s a day ending in ‘y’, there’s a good chance Lane Kiffin is going to have some fun on Twitter and if Ole Miss coach can tease Nick Saban? All the better.

The SEC Network’s official Twitter feed had a little version of “Write the caption” Tuesday with a picture of the Alabama coach smiling with the question “What is Saban smiling about? Wrong answers only.”

There were some clever answers and several that referred to Saban’s known love of Oatmeal Creme Pies.

Kiffin decided to jump in on the action and have a little fun with his former boss.

At last week’s SEC Media Days, Kiffin chuckled when the first question from the main podium was about Alabama.

“Well, Kirby Smart used to say sometimes you come up here and just talking about Alabama,” Kiffin said. “So our first question somehow is about Nick Saban, so… That’s pretty usual.”

Kiffin was the Crimson Tide offensive coordinator under Saban for three seasons (2014-2016). Together they led Alabama to 3 appearances in the College Football Playoff and a CFP championship in the 2015 season.

Good times indeed.

After the 2016 regular season, Kiffin took the head coaching job at Florida Atlantic and Saban removed him from the staff before the CFP championship game against Clemson, which Alabama lost 35-31.
