Matt Corral is really having an incredible year at Ole Miss. Through 5 games, Corral has 1,497 yards passing with 12 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Matt Corral, Baylor’s Gerry Bohanon, Purdue’s Jack Plummer and Utah’s Cameron Rising all have at least 7 touchdown passes with no interceptions at this point in the season.

Lane Kiffin spoke about what he thinks has lead to this decrease in turnovers from Corral (via On3 Sports):

“Good head coaching,” Kiffin joked. “He really has matured. I think having a spring with him, for him, has done a lot. Hopefully that continues. Over the course of years you have games that people learn from. I think of a game of not throwing interceptions, I think of Jonathan Crompton against UCLA. That’s kind of like the flashback to Arkansas a year ago. Obviously we never had Jonathan for a second year, but the growth between year one and year two can be huge in those situations so those games, hopefully, don’t happen again.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Kiffin approaches the game against his former school, Tennessee, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
