The anticipation has been building as college football fans gear up for Netflix’s latest sports documentary series, “SEC Football: Any Given Saturday.”

With a promise to offer exclusive behind-the-scenes access to some of the most storied teams in the Southeastern Conference, this series is set to thrill supporters. However, for Ole Miss Rebels fans, there’s a catch. Head coach Lane Kiffin has opted out of allowing cameras into his program, preferring to keep certain aspects of team life private.

On Wednesday, Kiffin answered questions about why Ole Miss wasn’t featured in the new documentary.

“What you see is what you get here,” Kiffin said. “I really just never wanted cameras to be there. I felt like it’s always just been a little phony, and I’ve just always been against it. For a team perspective, I just don’t think it’s good.”

Several other SEC teams like Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma are not featured in the documentary either. Meanwhile, programs such as South Carolina, LSU and Florida are showcased throughout the new series.

Ole Miss is gearing up for a big season under Kiffin. The Rebels lost a lot of talent to the NFL after last year, but they once again have College Football Playoff aspirations entering this upcoming season.

Ole Miss will open the 2025 season with Georgia State on Aug. 30.
