Lane Kiffin going viral for tweet trying to set up equipment manager with date

Anybody who follows Lane Kiffin on Twitter knows that the Florida Atlantic head coach posts some entertaining stuff. And much of that will center around trying to bring people to his school, using #CometotheFAU.

On Thursday, Kiffin was active on Twitter, per usual. Only this time, he had a different goal in mind.

Apparently, Kiffin was trying to get a date for his team’s equipment intern, Kenneth Pleimann, as a birthday gift. Kiffin did so by tweeting the following:

And it didn’t take long for Pleimann to respond:

While it’s unclear if Kiffin’s tweet had any success, he is having positive results leading Florida Atlantic this season. The Owls are 5-3 and one win away from becoming bowl eligible.

Florida Atlantic is looking for its sixth win in seven games on Saturday as it takes on Western Kentucky at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
