Lane Kiffin has been the talk of college football the past couple of months, as he left Ole Miss and became the new coach at LSU. There were talks that he wanted to coach the team through the playoffs, but Ole Miss eventually announced that defensive coordinator Pete Golding would be the full-time head coach moving forward.
While Kiffin may not be coaching the Ole Miss Rebels anymore, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be in attendance for the team’s college football playoff matchup against Georgia on Thursday.
According to Ross Dellenger, Lane Kiffin has been invited to attend the Sugar Bowl with Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry.
While nothing has been confirmed, the duo is considering to go to the game with potential security plans being put in place in case they go.
During the LSU bowl game against Houston, Kiffin made an appearance with the ESPN broadcast but left following the interview.
Very few coaches have ever loved getting attention quite like Kiffin. If he were to show up for the game, there is no doubt that he would quickly become the No. 1 talking point in the game.
Kickoff between Georgia and Ole Miss is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, and the game will be on ESPN.
