Ole Miss got off to a rocky start at home against LSU on Saturday afternoon, trailing the Tigers 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Then, Matt Corral and the Rebels turned on the jets. At halftime, Ole Miss had flipped the script and held a 17-7 lead.
Before heading into the locker room, coach Lane Kiffin spoke with CBS reporter Jamie Erdahl about the first half.
Here’s what he had to say about his team’s performance:

“Well, Matt’s doing well. Obviously, he’s not 100% out there,” Kiffin said. “We really haven’t played very clean. We’re up 10, but we should be playing a lot better. We’ve done a good job after the first quarter of settling down, but we gotta play better.”
About some key penalties, Kiffin said those need to be avoided in order to hold on and win:
“Just critical penalties in critical situations,” he said. “A touchdown run that gets called back. We’ve had that issue all year long. We’ve gotta overcome those and play a lot better.”
We’ll see if Ole Miss can improve in the second half on CBS.
