Lane Kiffin praises team’s effort at Georgia Tech, talks dynamic Tulsa passing attack
Ole Miss put together a dominant effort at Georgia Tech on Saturday, winning 42-0 in Atlanta.
Rebels coach Lane Kiffin met with the media Monday. He said after having the chance to review film that he was quite pleased with what he saw.
“I thought our players played really well in all three phases of the game,” Kiffin said. “… You know, (it was a) pretty good recipe to win. Basically make them go 3-and-out or 4-and -out every series and then run the ball for over 300 yards on 60-some carries. You’re going to win a lot of games. I thought they played with really good effort, good energy.”
No. 16 Mississippi returns to action at home Saturday against Tulsa, which will arrive in Oxford with a dynamic passing attack.
“Obviously we’ve got a lot of work to do with better opponents coming up, and it starts with the number one pass offense in the country by far, not even close,” Kiffin said of the Golden Hurricane. “So, this is a totally different challenge than we’ve had, and some people would say the best team that we’ve played. Most challenging for sure.”
Tulsa averages well over 400 yards per game through the air and starting quarterback Davis Brin has passed for 1,206 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just 1 interception through 3 games.
