Hardly anyone saw the No. 9-seeded FAU Owls beating the No. 3-seeded Kansas State Wildcats in the Elite 8 of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, but that certainly didn’t keep it from happening anyway.

Everyone loves an underdog, and there was no shortage of interaction on social media after FAU secured the 79-76 victory over Kansas State. That includes Ole Miss Rebels head football coach Lane Kiffin.

On the heels on the victory, the “Portal King” took to Twitter to show his support for the Owls, who are on to the Final Four.

Kiffin served as the FAU head football coach from 2017-2019, his last stop before landing in Oxford, where he looks to stay for as long as he likes after turning the program around in way that caught national attention in a short period of time.

He posts an overall record of 84-46 as a college football head coach.
