Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin is never one to shy away from self-expression on social media, nor is he shy about the unique relationship he has with ESPN SEC analyst Paul Finebaum.
Kiffin, who has a long history of interacting with Finebaum as both as head coach at Tennessee and then as Alabama’s offensive coordinator before another return to the SEC as the Rebels’ coach, shouted out Finebaum via quote-post on Sunday morning following his team’s 24-19 victory over No. 4 LSU. The win kept 13th-ranked Ole Miss undefeated.
Finebaum was among the SEC Nation panel Saturday morning live in Athens, Ga., picking games – and was the only person on set to pick the Rebels to upend the Tigers. Country music superstars Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, along with analysts Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and Tim Tebow all went with LSU in the top-15 Magnolia Bowl showdown in Oxford.
Ole Miss is idle in Week 6 and plays host to Washington State on Oct. 11 (12:45 p.m. ET, SEC Network). The Rebels return to SEC action on Oct. 18 at No. 5 Georgia.
I see you Paul @Vol_Football @OleMissFB
