Where Lane Kiffin will be watching the national title game

The last week has been an emotional rollercoaster for FAU head coach Lane Kiffin.
Kiffin went from coaching in the College Football Playoff semifinal game during the win over Washington to watching the national championship game against Clemson from the same place most fans will watch it: the couch.
While Alabama and Nick Saban relieved Kiffin of his offensive coordinator duties, he still wanted to attend the game and be on the sidelines or in the press box. He’d even offered to help in any way, but you know Nick Saban wouldn’t open that door too wide.
And after all, Kiffin won’t even attend the game. He’s too busy recruiting and putting together his coaching staff in Boca Raton, Florida.

I’m sure Monday night’s game will be wild for Kiffin watching his former team play Clemson for all the marbles, but that will be it.
You can bet win or lose, Kiffin won’t be missing that next staff meeting under Saban. That’s Steve Sarkisian’s deal now.
