South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers turned in a solid sophomore performance with the Gamecocks in 2025, throwing for 2,056 yards and 11 touchdowns with 6 interceptions. And in the current era of free-flowing transfer portal talent, Sellers decide to listen to NIL offers from other programs this offseason.

After Saturday’s 28-14 South Carolina loss to cross-state rival Clemson, Sellers was asked if he will return to the Gamecocks in 2026.

“When the time comes to make a decision, I’ll make a decision – whatever’s best for me,” said Sellers to reporters while wriggling in his chair.

That wasn’t a yes, of course, but it also wasn’t a no. Sellers passed for a career-high 381 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions against the Tigers on Saturday in the final game of a disappointing 4-8 season. The Gamecocks dropped 6 of 8 losses to ranked SEC teams but only beat 1 league team – taking down Kentucky on Sept. 27.

Sellers’ redshirt freshman campaign in 2024 was more fruitful, as he finished with 2,534 passing yards and 18 touchdowns with 7 interceptions in a 9-4 season that garnered him SEC Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American honors.
