Some games are so big that bettors are ready to place a wager well in advance.
The Las Vegas SuperBook at Westgate has updated its lines for five games it considers “Games of the Year,” including three marquee SEC clashes in November. The new SEC lines, per David Payne Purdum, are:
- Georgia -7.5 at Auburn (Nov. 16)
- LSU at Alabama -11.5 (Nov. 9)
- Alabama -14.5 at Auburn (Nov. 30)
It’s not really surprising to see Alabama and Georgia favored in those three games, though LSU and Auburn are arguably off to stronger starts than many expected. It’s interesting to note that the SuperBook’s Alabama vs. LSU line differs by one point from the hypothetical line that handicapper Danny Sheridan recently shared on Twitter. Sheridan forecasted that Alabama would be only a 10.5-point favorite at home against the Tigers.
All three lines are likely to change between now and November, but if you feel like putting money down the now, the SuperBook is ready to take those bets.
Purdum also shared updated lines for Oklahoma vs. Texas and Wisconsin at Ohio State in his tweet.
