For his service as an ambassador for not only the University of South Carolina but also the Palmetto State, former Gamecock Marcus Lattimore received the Jerry Richardson Community MVP Award on Thursday during the sixth annual ‘South Carolina Coaches for Charity’ event in Columbia.
Since retiring from the NFL earlier this year, Lattimore has returned home to lead community service and outreach efforts in South Carolina while also making time for stops at various youth football camps around the Lowcountry.
