Lee Corso is not with the “College GameDay” crew in Athens for the top-ranked showdown between Georgia and Tennessee. Rece Davis told the audience that Corso is still recuperating. The show hopes to have him back on set soon.

This marks the 4th time Corso has missed a Saturday show for health reasons. Corso was in Clemson for the Oct. 1 Clemson-NC State show when he went to see a doctor after feeling under the weather. Corso missed the following week’s show in Lawrence, Kansas as well.

Corso returned for the Oct. 15 and Oct. 22 shows in Knoxville, Tennessee and Eugene, Oregon. He was absent for last Saturday’s show in Jackson, Mississippi last week to highlight Deion Sanders’ Jackson State program.

In Corso’s absence, GameDay from Athens opened as a 4-man desk with Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit. They are set to be joined by David Pollack, reporters Jen Lada, Gene Wojciechowski and newcomer Jess Sims, along with research producer Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica and college football insider Pete Thamel.

Country music superstar Luke Bryan will be joining the set as Saturday’s celebrity guest picker.
