Lee Corso correctly predicted the biggest upset of the day in final College GameDay show
The legendary Lee Corso made his final appearance on College GameDay on Saturday morning in Columbus, Ohio.
His last show marks the end of a remarkable run on the show that spanned nearly 4 decades. After correctly predicting numerous upsets throughout the years, he saved one for his final show.
Corso was the only GameDay panelist on Saturday to predict Florida State would upset Alabama in Tallahassee. It’s a significant upset — FSU was an underdog of about 2 touchdowns in Vegas entering the game. Corso, a Florida State alum, said he couldn’t pick against the Noles in his final show.
“Florida State is my school,” Corso said. “How the hell am I going to pick against them? Florida State upsets Alabama.”
Of course, that’s exactly what happened. Florida State fell behind 7-0, but stormed back before the end of the first half and ultimately won the game 31-17.
Corso also got his final headgear pick right — he went with the Buckeyes with his final selection. Ohio State defeated Texas 14-7 on Saturday in Columbus.
