Week 1 of the 2025 college football season featured a jam-packed slate of action that more than lived up to the hype on the field, and it also featured one of the most bittersweet moments in the history of the game in the departure of legendary College GameDay host Lee Corso.
The coach had been a mainstay on the iconic fall Saturday morning program since 1987 and decided to call it a career in Columbus this weekend as College GameDay made the trip for Texas vs. Ohio State.
It seems only fitting that such a legendary figure in college football history should leave his mark one last time, and that’s precisely what Corso did, as he went a perfect 6-for-6 in predicting who would win some of the weekend’s biggest matchups.
Corso has long been known for his prowess when it comes to making expert predictions in big time matchups, and his final group of picks ever serves as a yet another perfect example of his elite football knowledge,
He even picked and un-ranked FSU Seminoles squad over top-10 Alabama, which actually ended up being the biggest upset of the entire weekend.
Fall Saturdays will never be the same now that Corso is no longer a part of College GameDay, but seeing him leave his mark one last time is about as perfect of a farewell that anybody could have asked for.
