One of the ongoing themes of ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday morning was Lee Corso’s return to the live set after he spent all of last season via satellite remote from his home in Florida.
But ESPN put together a montage of “welcome back” messages from coaches around the country, including Clemson’s Dabo Swinney, Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher, Alabama’s Nick Saban, Arizona State’s Herm Edwards, Texas’ Steve Sarkisian and Ohio State’s Ryan Day.
They also showed Corso’s reunion with long-time broadcast partner Kirk Herbstreit, who also said, “Great to have you back in person, coach. Welcome home.”
Added Rece Davis, “Just to let you know the season’s back as it should be.”
