Lee Corso hinted at it last week and now he’s confirmed his prediction for the Week 2 showdown between visiting No. 11 Texas and No. 3 Alabama.
Prior to the latest edition of College GameDay, Corso shared with fellow show member Kirk Herbstreit that he believes Texas will exact revenge for last season’s 1-point loss.

Corso explains he’s taking the Longhorns because of their physicality and superb field goal kicker.
“Texas is going to win this game. A big upset…I like Texas,” Corso said. “Last year, they had the best looking team physically I saw last year. They matured, added a bunch of guys. Burt Auburn, field goal kicker, he kicked 4 against Alabama last year. He’s already kicked 3 this year in the opener. He can be the difference.”
Alabama kicker Will Reichard iced the victory last year for the Crimson Tide with a 33-yard kick with 10 seconds to go.
Texas leads the all-time series 7-2-1 but Alabama has won the last 2 meetings between the programs. Texas vs. Alabama is slated for a 7 p.m. EST kickoff on Saturday and will be televised on ESPN.
