Jimbo Fisher has a new opening on his support staff in College Station as Lee Grimes has left Texas A&M.

The former Aggies offensive analyst has been named the new offensive line coach for Will Healy’s Charlotte program. Grimes recently confirmed the news on Twitter.

Grimes had been on staff for two seasons in College Station after being hired from Minnesota, where Grimes previously served as a graduate assistant. Grimes’ role at Charlotte will not be the first time he’s coached the offensive line as he previously served as offensive line coach and run game coordinator at East Texas Baptist University for three seasons.

A Texas A&M graduate, Grimes played for the Aggies 2005-2009 before briefly playing in the NFL.
