Legendary coach of ‘Remember the Titans’ fame passes away at age 84

It has been a rough year for fans of the movie “Remember the Titans.”
First, Bill Yoast, who was the defensive coach at T.C. Williams High School and portrayed by Will Patton in the iconic film, died at age 94 back in May.
On Wednesday, head coach Herman Boone (portrayed by Denzel Washington) passed away at age 84, per the football team’s booster club:

Boone led T.C. Williams to that iconic title in 1971 and was a legend in the Virginia football ranks.
“Remember the Titans” came out in 2000, immortalizing that team and the adversity it faced while making its way to the title game.
