So far so good for Chicago Bears rookie defender Leonard Floyd, who made his NFL debut Sunday against the Texans after being selected with the No. 9 overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.

In his debut, the former standout Georgia defender registered his first career NFL sack. While the accomplishment may have been something Floyd dreamed about leading up to the play, the actual play itself was hard to remember immediately after the game.

“It felt like a dream. I can’t really remember what move I did,” Floyd said, according to Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun Times. “I think [the offensive lineman] tried to overset me and I quickly went outside of him and the quarterback was right there.”

Floyd had a solid overall performance against Houston, coming away with six tackles and a pressure of Brock Osweiler, which led to an incompletion on third down. Unfortunately for the Bears, the plays from the rookie weren’t quite enough, as Chicago ultimately lost to the Texans.

“I feel good about the plays I made,” said Floyd. “Got some improvements to make. I believe I can impact and help this team. And I’m going to do whatever I can to help us win.”
