Leonard Fornette escaped serious injury on Tuesday as his car sustained heavy fire damage while he was driving it down a highway.

The free agent running back and former LSU star shared on Instagram that he was driving his custom Dodge Durango Hellcat when it burst into flames.

‘Man it was one of those days today, but I would like to thank God, my car caught on fire while I was driving, But I’am still blessed,’ he posted on Instagram.

Fournette’s car had black paint on the exterior, a red and black interior and custom wheels. But it’s not clear
where the incident happened, or what caused the fire to start.

Fournette spent the previous 3 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and started 25 of 43 regular season games as he scored 17 rushing touchdowns. Fournette was a first-round pick by Jacksonville in 2017, and was released by the Bucs during the offseason in a salary cap decision.
