There are some players that coaches will never forget.
For Les Miles, he’s had several at LSU, especially at defensive back, but one in particular was name-dropped at practice Friday: Tyrann Mathieu.
Players like Mathieu and Patrick Peterson will be talked about for years inside LSU’s program, and Friday, Les Miles taught his defensive backs to strip the ball like Mathieu did.
Mathieu forced 11 fumbles during his two-year career, which is still a school record.

Mathieu remains one of the most exciting players over the last decade in SEC football.
