Le’Veon Moss was putting together a career season in 2024. Then came the South Carolina game.
The Texas A&M running back only lasted 2 carries before leaving against the Gamecocks with an ACL and MCL tear. But after 9 months of recovery, he will be ready to go on Saturday as the Aggies host UTSA at Kyle Field.
Don’t expect Moss to avoid getting hit, even on the other side of his injury. He was asked on Tuesday whether he’d run out of bounds in order to keep from getting hurt again.
“I’m a man. Running out of bounds is like running from a fight,” Moss said, via 247Sports’ Carter Karels.
That’s good news for Aggie fans hoping that Moss can recapture his pre-injury form in 2025. Before his injury, he had run for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns on 121 carries, or 6.3 yards per attempt. He was an All-SEC second-team selection.
The league’s media foresees big things for Moss in his 3rd season as well, voting him first-team all-conference in the preseason polls. He is also projected as a Day 3 pick in several NFL Draft boards, but that stock is sure to skyrocket depending on how he looks post-injury.
