Lewis Cine, Georgia defensive back, announces 2022 season plans

Lewis Cine is going out on top. The Defensive MVP of Georgia’s National Championship win announced Friday that he is forgoing his senior season and declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.
In a lengthy note looking back on his time with the Bulldogs, Agent 16 declared his championship mission complete.

A junior in 2021, Cine was a first-team All-SEC and third-team All-America selection by the Associated Press. Cine recorded 7 of his team-leading 73 tackles in the College Football Playoff National Championship. The standout safety also posted a team-high 9 pass breakups, including 1 on Monday night, this season.
Cine, from Cedar Hill, Texas, departs Athens having played in 39 games over the past 3 seasons, recording 145 total tackles, 16 passes defended and 2 interceptions. As a sophomore, Cine notched a career-high 12 tackles in UGA’s win over South Carolina.
