Could Gus Malzahn actually end up at Arkansas for next season?
The Auburn Tigers are getting set to battle it out in the SEC Championship Game Saturday, but rumors about Malzahn potentially leaving for the Razorbacks continue to swirl. It may seem hard to imagine the head coach switching schools after what has turned out to be a successful season with the Tigers, but at least one analyst thinks the outcome of the SEC Championship could determine Malzahn’s plans.
SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic addressed the rumors surrounding Malzahn, and Cubelic believes the coach will leave for Arkansas if Auburn loses to Georgia on Saturday. He pointed to the fact that the move would allow Malzahn to reset his coach clock with the Razorbacks.

On the other hand, a win over Georgia would put Auburn in the College Football Playoff and could keep Malzahn with the Tigers. Saturday’s kickoff for the SEC Championship is set for 4 pm EST on CBS.
