Despite being an absolute star, former Arkansas RB Darren McFadden never raised the Heisman Trophy during his college career.
In 2006, he finished as the runner-up to Ohio State QB Troy Smith and in 2007, he was second behind Florida QB Tim Tebow.
On Monday, McFadden was asked about those runner-up finishes and said he feels like he should have won a Heisman:

“My sophomore year, I can understand,” he said. “I came onto the scene late and I guess they didn’t want to give it to any sophomores at the time. When my junior year came around, this isn’t to take anything away from what Tebow did because he had a heck of a year and did a great job. He definitely deserved it, but I felt like I should have won the Heisman that year, also.”
McFadden finished with a career-high 1,830 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in 2007, but Tebow won with 1,957 Heisman points, compared to McFadden’s 1,703.
