The National Championship Game is creeping ever closer, and the picks are starting to come in as experts decide whether they think Alabama or Georgia will claim the College Football Playoff trophy.
On Sunday, former Texas coach Mack Brown, who guided the Longhorns to the 2005 national championship, picked Alabama to win.
As you can here below in Brown’s appearance on ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM, Brown thinks coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide’s experience on the big stage will help them against Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs on Monday night in Atlanta:
"The head coach has got more experience in this game. The assistants have more experience in this game. The players have more experience in this game"

“I’ve got Alabama because of experience, and that’s it,” he said. “The head coach has got more experience in this game. The assistants have more experience in this game. The players have more experience in this game. The quarterback for Alabama is older than the one for Georgia. Both can run the ball well. Alabama’s played on less game in the last three weeks. They had a blowout with Clemson. They didn’t really have to spend a lot of energy.
“Everything for Kirby and his staff is new. They’re more tired. They’ve got more stress. They’ve got less routine.”
Alabama has played in every Playoff since it started a few years ago, so Saban’s crew knows what to expect. Smart’s Bulldogs, meanwhile, are making their first CFP appearance.
Will Alabama’s experience be enough to give it the edge? Find out on Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN.
