Listen to how raspy Matt Luke’s voice sounds after a day of yelling at Ole Miss fall camp

During fall camp, college football coaches throughout the country are yelling across fields, projecting their voices so that a large roster of players can hear their orders and directions.
Ole Miss coach Matt Luke is no exception. Although, his voice may sound a little bit worse when a day of practice ends.
Fall camp goes on for a month, so how does Luke manage to regain his voice after losing it pretty much every day along the way?
“Lemons, hot salt water,” Luke told reporters on Tuesday, including Maddie Lee of the Clarion Ledger. “It comes back about the middle of the day and then I lose it, it’s just a vicious cycle.”

The Rebels are only five days into fall camp, so who knows what Luke will sound like as the month continues. Perhaps his methods of keeping his voice healthy will prevent him from sounding much worse.
But Luke’s voice is fairly raspy already, and there are several weeks before Ole Miss opens the 2018 season when it plays Texas Tech on Sept. 1.
