Vowing he’s “not here to please anyone,” long-time Florida commit Jaleel Mcrae announced that he’s decommitting from the Gators.

“Not saying UF isn’t the right school,” he wrote in a Twitter post. “I need to focus on my senior year of football and work like I’ve never worked before and getting US back to where we need to be and getting to that winning record. UF IS STILL IN MY MIND.”

The Class of 2019 prospect, who is 6-feet, 185 pounds, is from New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and a free safety/wide receiver recruit. His Hudl profile includes a picture of him with former Florida coach Jim McElwain. Mcrae said he was committed to Florida for three years.

The 4-star prospect, according to 247 Sports, is the sixth-ranked player from the state of Florida in his class, and the fourth-ranked safety in America.
