Video: LSU gets a long run … and it’s not from Leonard Fournette

LSU figured it could break some big running plays against Texas Tech in the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl. After all, Tech ranks near the bottom nationally in stopping the run.
And though Leonard Fournette did score the first touchdown for LSU, it was a LSU sophomore wide receiver D.J. Chark who had the big run. He took a handoff on an end around and scampered 79 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter, dodging defenders the whole way.
It was the first time Chark had ever touched the ball in a game for LSU.
That’s a pretty good first memory.
