Auburn TE Jalen Harris has been important in the Tigers’ running game this season, but until Saturday night, he had been a non-factor in the passing attack.
However, Harris finally made a catch (and found the end zone, for good measure) in Auburn’s 40-29 win at Ole Miss on Saturday night.
Harris told 247Sports he had a feeling Saturday night would be special:
“It’s really a blessing. It means a lot to me,” Harris said. “I told my parents before the game I thought I was going to have a really good game. To have a touchdown is just icing on the cake really. … I haven’t caught a pass in a game since 2014, but it all pays off in the end.”
The 15-yard touchdown ended up being the only catch Harris made in the game, but it was enough to help his team earn a victory.
The Tigers host Vanderbilt on Saturday in an SEC East-West matchup.
