Every coach has a certain personality, especially at press conferences when they lean on certain phrases as crutches or simply out of habit.
This could be gamesmanship, strategizing, or even a motivation tactic for his players. The great thing about college football, though, is there could be a bingo board made for every coach, with each fan base offering their favorite lines. Below is an Auburn version.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn isn’t known as the most loquacious in the SEC, and he tends to have several favorite phrases.
“Yeah, there’s no doubt.”
“That’s my job as the head coach.”
“At the end of the day.”
“Like we talked about.”
As press conferences happen at least a couple of times of week during the season, this would be a fun way to find out how quickly Malzahn can fill up the board.
