For Bulldog Nation, it’s hard to watch the Cotton Bowl without wondering what might have been.
With No. 3 Notre Dame struggling to hang with No. 2 Clemson, Georgia fans could not help but feel that UGA was robbed of a spot to play in the College Football Playoff. It’s not just Dawg fans who feel that way.

On Selection Sunday, the final four debate centered around Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State for the last spot. With the Fighting Irish going undefeated and playing 10 Power 5 teams, not many people were questioning whether they belonged. This year’s Cotton Bowl may change that thinking as Georgia would almost certainly be giving Clemson a better game right now.
