The Louisville Cardinals were caught up in the same Adidas scandal that rocked Auburn earlier this year, and it cost legendary coach Rick Pitino his job.

Obviously, Kentucky fans took great joy in their rival’s struggles, and that extended to Saturday’s halftime show during the Kentucky-Louisville football game in Lexington.

As you can see in the photo below, the Kentucky band formed the shape of a dollar bill, seemingly calling out the Cardinals for paying recruits to commit to the school:

Yes, the Louisville-Kentucky football rivalry has gotten more intense in recent years, but make no mistake — both schools are basketball schools.

The Wildcats have the edge now as the Cardinals undergo a massive shakeup in the basketball program and athletic department, so expect them to continue to revel in their rival’s misery.

Was this a shot at the Cardinals? It’s not 100 percent certain, but it certainly looks like the Wildcat band was calling attention to the scandal.
