LSU’s classic white uniform will include a Citrus Bowl patch for today’s game against Notre Dame at 1 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
It’s the second straight year LSU is in the Citrus Bowl, and this time, the Tigers’ equipment will include a “Geaux Tigers” on their cleats. The team’s Twitter account also included purple checks on the team’s Nike footballs.
LSU meets Notre Dame for the second time in four seasons as the Tigers have won at least eight games for 18 straight seasons, the longest active streak among Power 5 teams. Notre Dame, meanwhile, is looking for its third double-digit wins season in Brian Kelly’s eight seasons.
Some stats to watch in the game played in Orlando are turnover margin and fourth quarter points. The Tigers lead the nation in committing just eight turnovers, and what’s more, LSU has held opponents to 11 points in the fourth quarter in the last seven games.
