LOOK: Mark Fox sends classy farewell tweet to Georgia fans after firing

After many rumors and much speculation, Mark Fox was fired by Georgia on Saturday, ending his long tenure as the Bulldogs’ head coach.

However, even though he was fired, he offered to coach the team in the NIT if the players decided they wanted to play. The team voted not to accept a potential invite, though, so the year is officially over.

On his way out of Athens, Fox tweeted a classy message to Georgia fans and his players, as you can see below:

Fox may land another job this offseason, as he is a great person who has always run a clean program (something that is increasingly rare these days).

During his time in Athens, he compiled a 163-133 record, leading the Bulldogs to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
