Much of the southeast was coated by a blanket of snow late Thursday night and early Friday morning, coating some SEC stadiums in white.

In Baton Rouge, Tiger Stadium wasn’t the only place to get some flurries though, as Mike VII’s on-campus habitat also received a dusting of snow.

For the fun-loving mascot, it was likely the first time he’d ever encountered snow, and based on the photos below by photographer Hilary Scheinuk, Mike really enjoyed the unique experience:

How long the snow sticks around in Baton Rouge remains to be seen, but Mike seems to be fine if it stays frosty for a little while longer.

For a cat with so much fur, the cold weather is likely a pleasant break, especially after a long, hot summer.
