The arrival of Joe Burrow at LSU has already won the Tigers a surprising new fan.

Burrow, a graduate transfer from Ohio State, announced his intentions to transfer to LSU Friday. Now that he’s officially a Tiger, it hasn’t taken him long to attract a new fan to the purple and gold.

Former Ohio State WR Michael Thomas reacted to the Burrow news by saying he’s now an LSU fan.

It certainly doesn’t hurt that Thomas, who will be entering his third season with the New Orleans Saints, is already surrounded by LSU fans in Louisiana. While Thomas’ support will almost certainly be welcomed, Ed Orgeron and company are hoping Burrow can attract some wideouts with eligibility remaining to sport the purple and gold.

Thomas played for the Buckeyes from 2012-15, well after OSU and LSU faced off for a BCS championship in 2007.
