As plenty of Florida State fans piled on coach Willie Taggart, noted college football analyst Dannel Kanell added his two cents following the 36-31 Seminoles loss to Boise State.
Florida State once held an 18-point lead, but the Broncos scored 17 unanswered points in the second half. The Seminoles were just 1-for-12 on third down conversions and had just 99 yards rushing. Boise State claimed the time of possession 40:03 to 19:57.
“Not gonna lie,” Kanell tweeted. “That one hurt. Gut check time.”
The Seminoles get back to action next week against Louisiana Monroe
After a very disappointing 5-7 season a year ago, “gut check time” may have a different definition for different fans. But the one consensus point is that frustration is growing and more are pointing to a change for Taggart.
