The South Carolina Gamecocks are hosting Akron in a game that was scheduled after an earlier game between South Carolina and Marshall was canceled due to a hurricane.

Though the weather is much nicer than it was back when the game was canceled, it still isn’t a beautiful day in Columbia.

The combination of rainy, cold weather and a less-than-stellar opponent has led to Gamecock fans not showing up for the game, as you can see below:

The Gamecocks have already clinched bowl eligibility, so it is unclear why this game is still being played.

For now, though, it’s a chance for the sparse crowd to get one last look at the Gamecocks before the bowl game later this month.
